About Patricia Alonso, LMT

My journey into healing started with a personal commitment to yoga, where I discovered the profound connection between movement, breath, and overall well-being. Later I became a certified yoga instructor and later completed my training as a Yoga Therapist through the American Viniyoga Institute. I have had the honor to study under internationally respected teachers like Rod Stryker, Gary Kraftsow, Robert Svoboda and Vasant Lad. This foundation has instilled in me a deep appreciation for individualized care and the understanding that every person's path to wellness is unique.

In 2015, I became a Licensed Massage Therapist, expanding my ability to support clients through hands-on therapeutic care. I continued my professional education at the Lauterstein-Conway Massage School, where I completed advanced training in Orthopedic Massage, Shiatsu, Trigger Point Therapy, and Pre- and Postnatal Massage. I'm an enthusiastic student and have also studied with renowned educators like James Waslaski and the late Erik Dalton, whose innovative approaches to pain management, movement, and structural integration continue to influence my work.

My practice took a meaningful turn when I was introduced to Hawaiian Lomilomi Massage. Beyond its flowing techniques, Lomilomi taught me that healing is not only about addressing physical discomfort but also about creating a nurturing experience rooted in presence, compassion, and genuine human connection. Lomilomi has become the blank canvas for most of my work nowadays.

Most recently, I expanded my practice through comprehensive Ayurvedic Bodywork Training at the Ayurvedic Institute. Integrating therapies such as Marma points, Abhyanga and Shirodhara, Lepas and Neti Bastis with my therapeutic massage background has deepened my ability to support clients through a truly holistic approach—one that honors both modern therapeutic knowledge and centuries-old healing traditions.

My Philosophy & Approach
Today, my work reflects the integration of Holistic & Science based therapeutic diverse disciplines. Whether helping someone recover from an injury, manage chronic pain, improve mobility, or simply reconnect with a sense of balance and vitality, my goal is to provide thoughtful, individualized care that supports the body, calms the nervous system, and encourages lasting well-being. I believe healing is most effective when clinical expertise is combined with compassion, presence, and a genuine partnership with each client.
A little more about me
At heart, I'm a lifelong student of yoga, ayurveda and the healing arts. I continue to explore new perspectives and refine my skills because I believe there is always something new to learn—about the body, the mind, and the many ways we can support healing and well-being.

When I'm not in the treatment room, you'll likely find me staying active—swimming with Pegasus Masters, strength training at the gym, or practicing yoga. These pursuits not only keep me healthy but also enrich my perspective as a therapist.

At home, I enjoy spending time with my beloved dog, Tommy, and my curious cat, Kiki. During the cooler months, I enjoy tending to my garden, another reminder that growth and healing flourish with patience and care.

These personal passions shape the way I approach my work. They remind me to slow down, stay curious, and appreciate that true wellness is a lifelong journey rather than a destination.Â
